    NEW YORK (AP) — Erin Moran, the former child star who played Joanie Cunningham in the sitcoms “Happy Days” and “Joanie Loves Chachi,” has died. She was 56.Moran was found dead Saturday by emergency responders after a dispatcher for the Harrison County, Indiana, sheriff’s department received a 911 call, the department said. The cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy is pending.

    BARRE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A skydiver from Rochester has died after falling into an orchard in Barre.
    It happened at 7:23 p.m. Saturday at Pask Road near Pine Hill.He died at the scene, according to the Orleans County Coroner, Rocky Sidari.

    Man in custody after SWAT call in Buffalo
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- A 35 year old man is in custody after police say he barricaded himself inside a home and was apparently firing shots out of a downstairs window.
    It happened on the first block of Keystone St. at about 2:00 p.m.
    Police say they safely removed six people from an upstairs apartment.
    The man surrendered to police at around 3:30 p.m. and was taken to ECMC to be evaluated.
    He is in police custody.
    Police say no one was injured and charges are pending.

    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Tonawanda man faces a DWI charge, among others after police say he drove drunk and crashed his pickup truck into a pole on Young Street.
    Tonawanda Police say 28-year-old David Fuhrman fled the scene on foot after the crash. Officers found him a short time later in a backyard off Fremont Street.

    First responders pack sandbags in Olcott to prepare for rising water
    OLCOTT, N.Y. (WIVB)- It’s was team effort to fill 60,000 sandbags in Olcott on Saturday.
    More than 100 firefighters from Niagara County helped the Olcott Fire Company and other local agencies prepare for rising waters. They worked to reinforce the northern shore.

    More than 2,000 people marched from Soldiers Circle to Delaware park. It was just one of 600 ‘March for Science’ rallies worldwide.
