    ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) — Following recent brush fires in places like Allegany and Cattaraugus counties, Gov. Cuomo is urging residents to help prevent wildfires.
    Cuomo says a statewide ban on open burning is in effect through May 14 amid expected high temperatures.
    “The residential brush burning ban in effect until mid-May will help protect the health and well-being of both New Yorkers and first responders, as warm weather conditions are expected this spring,” Cuomo said

    BUFFALO,  N.Y. (WIVB) ­– New York State’s new clean water infrastructure bill will provide $2.5 billion for projects across the state.
    The funding was included in the state’s 2017-2018 budget, and is a $500 million increase over the executive proposal.

    CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A two-year-old boy was run over by a vehicle in Clarence Sunday morning.
    New York State Police say that the child was with his family at Antique World. While there, authorities say he ran out of a storage garage and display area, and into the path of a pickup truck.
    The truck, which was being driven by a 50-year-old Clarence man, ran over the boy’s legs and pelvis, but his injuries were non-life threatening.

    MANCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) — According to New York State Police, two children from Buffalo, ages 9 and 11, have died after a motor vehicle accident on the I-90.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Furnas Hall on the University at Buffalo’s North Campus was evacuated just before 8pm on Sunday night.
