    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — The search is on for an injured goose in Amherst.
    The goose was seen around the town with an arrow in its neck.
    Members of the SPCA have been on a wild goose chase looking for the injured waterfowl for weeks, but have been getting calls for about a month.
    In a video sent by a News 4 viewer, the goose appears to walk around like nothing is wrong. The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) says that the goose can still fly.

    ATLANTA (AP) — Delta is giving airport employees permission to offer passengers up to almost $10,000 in compensation to give up their seats on overbooked flights.
    Delta’s move comes as United Airlines struggles to recover from images of a passenger’s forced removal from a sold-out flight.

    Target has announced a recall of more than 560,000 water-absorbing Easter egg and dinosaur toys.
    They are called Hatch and Grow Easter Eggs, Easter Grow Toys and Hatch Your Own Dino Egg.

    Body found in home following fire
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A person was found dead after a house fire on Buffalo’s east side.
    The fire happened Thursday night on Kermit Ave.
    The person, who has only been identified as a 63-year-old man, died of smoke inhalation.
    The man lived in the lower apartment. His body was found in the home.
    Investigators say there are no signs of foul play regarding his death.

    Bradford resident Tyler Yohe, 27, was stopped Friday between 1 and 1:30 a.m. at Transit Rd. and Seneca St.

    Sunken boat recovered from Ellicott Creek
    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A sunken boat was recovered from about 12 feet of water in Ellicott Creek.
    Police in the City of Tonawanda received a report about the boat, which was about 100 feet north of Swistons on Young St.
    When police located the 19-foot vessel, they attached a cable to it and placed “inflators” underneath it. This helped bring it to the surface.

    MARILLA, N.Y. (WIVB) — The case against a teenager accused of killing a toddler is now headed to a grand jury.
    Devon VanDerWege, 17, allegedly beat a 2-year-old he was watching last month while the boy’s parents went to work.
