    IRVING, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Seneca Nation’s Cattaraugus Territory in Irving has a new energy source.
    Work is now done on a $6 million wind turbine project. It is located near Lucky Layne and the Gil Lay Memorial Sports Arena.

    ROYALTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A resident of the Town of Royalton has been accused of beating his puppy.
    Jay Kenneth 33, was charged with one count of felony animal cruelty.
    According to the Niagara County SPCA, Kenneth repeatedly struck a 7-month-old Doberman Pinscher puppy with an unknown object.

    TOKYO (AP) — Japanese automaker Honda said Friday it was recalling 37,000 vehicles in the U.S. to check if replacement air bags contain the recalled Takata inflators that may have been installed prior to the massive Takata recalls last year.

    Buffalo man admits to training pit bulls for fighting
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has admitted to training pit bulls to fight.
    Prosecutors say Shondel Stephens, 49, used his Monroe St. home to train pit bulls for dogfighting.
    In late August, SPCA agents entered his home on a search warrant. There, they found two pit bulls who were seriously injured, as well as animal fighting paraphernalia.
    Stephens, who pleaded guilty to prohibition of animal fighting, could spend up to four years in prison when sentenced on June 25.

    2 more minors arrested in relation to Clarence shooting
    CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — After a teenager was charged with a Clarence shooting, two more minors were also arrested.
    The unnamed 17-year-old was first arrested on April 1 after allegedly luring a 21-year-old man to a housing construction site off Gentwood Rd. There, the Erie County Sheriff’s office says the teen shot him during a robbery attempt.
    The teen was charged with assault with a weapon, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment.
