    Chautauqua County man dies in fire that started in the home’s furnace
    KENNEDY, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Ellington Fire Department responded to a fire call at 3967 Sprague Hill Road in Kennedy just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
    First responders located 60 year-old William Caldwell inside and transported him to WCA hospital where he was pronounced dead.
    The Chautauqua County’s Fire Investigation Team determined the fire originated within the heating furnace.

    Students report of pellet gun leads to Lorraine Academy Shelter in Place
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo’s Lorraine Academy held what its principal calls a Shelter in Place drill Friday, after two students reported another had a pellet gun.
    The pellet gun was found and turned over to police, according to Jeffrey Banks, principal at Lorraine.He recognized the children who reported seeing the item.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Vikki Lee survived a brief, but violent domestic relationship, but when she and her partner were forced to leave the apartment they shared, it left Lee virtually homeless. So she had to move her belongings into an East Side storage facility, until she could find a permanent place to live.

    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bond was set at $50,000 for a Tonawanda man accused of making methamphetamine in his apartment in a building shared by other tenants.
    Larry Braddell appeared before a judge Friday morning in Tonawanda City Court.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A driver is facing charges after smashing through a gate Thursday night and getting into the parking lot of the FBI office in downtown Buffalo.
