    Job fair to take place Wednesday at Convention Center
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Those looking for a job can attend a free job fair from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
    During the March 22 event, more than 50 companies will be represented, including AAA of Western New York, Baker Victory Services, Mattress Firm and Erie Community College.
    Job seekers are encouraged to bring lots of resumes and dress appropriately for the event.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Bisons will hold national anthem auditions this Saturday at Coca-Cola Field.
    The annual event will take place from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. on March 25.
    Anyone interested in auditioning should enter the ballpark at the Pettibones Grille entrance. Singers must perform “The Star Spangled Banner” and “O Canada” in front of the field’s home dugout.

    ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Attica police arrested a man they say tried to assault an officer after he was reported to be yelling outside of a motel.
    Police say that on the night of Feb. 27, Channing Ballinger, 32, was yelling “someone’s going to get murdered tonight” and “everyone is going to die” outside of a room at the Attican Motel on Route 98.

    Buffalo man accused of forcing teens into prostitution
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Officials say that a Buffalo man forced teen girls, between the ages of 14 and 19, into prostitution.
    Derek Harris, 22, was charged with criminal sexual act using force, promoting prostitution with a victim younger than age 15, sex trafficking using fear of injury or death.
    Authorities say evidence of Harris trying to solicit customers was found on his phone. He allegedly used threats to force them into prostitution.

    The Saint Joseph’s Day Dinner Table was held at the Lake Erie Italian Club in Lackawanna.
    Saint Joseph’s Day honors the patron saint of Sicily, who according to legend, saved the island from famine.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 62-year-old man is accused of sexually abusing a fellow Buffalo nursing home resident.
    Prosecutors say convicted sex offender Thomas Moore entered the victim’s room, removed her blanket and molested her in early January at the Waterfront Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
    According to court documents, the victim told Moore to leave her room multiple times.
    Moore is disabled, and appeared in Buffalo City Court Monday in a wheelchair.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) — The New York State Senate has again passed a bill related to the movement of sex offenders.
    The bill would be an amendment to the mental hygiene law. It would require the Commissioner of the Office of People With Developmental Disabilities to notify a local municipality when a sex offender is moved from a state facility to a residence or community program.

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A West Seneca man was arrested in connection with a string of burglaries.
    Police called Danny Butcher, 55, “the person of interest in a string of burglaries.” The burglaries occurred in West Seneca, Orchard Park, and other surrounding areas.
