    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Terrol Massey was convicted of second degree murder, conspiracy, and a weapons charge in Amherst back in 2005.
    He’s now 28, serving 20 years to life in an upstate correctional facility.
    “My son was age 16 when he first got convicted of a heinous crime,” Nora Massey told News 4.

    Vehicle stolen in Wyoming County located in Buffalo; alleged thief arrested
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A vehicle stolen from Wyoming County was found in Buffalo, and the alleged thief was arrested.
    The Wyoming County Sheriff’s office says a vehicle was stolen from Main St. in Bliss. Buffalo resident Giovanni Alvarez, 32, was suspected to be the one who took it.
    After the vehicle was found on East St. in the city, Alvarez was arrested without incident and charged with grand larceny.

    Clarence resident Paul Brenton, 71, was speaking with a Trooper when the officer says he noticed Brenton was intoxicated.

    STOCKTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — Five people were able to escape from a burning home in Stockton.
    The fire started around 3:25 a.m. Monday on S. Stockton-Cassadaga Rd.

    TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Town of Tonawanda man was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend in their apartment more than one year ago.
    Prosecutors say John Avent, 50, fatally stabbed Roberta Rybinski, 51, inside the Newell Ave. building sometime between March 3 and March 8, 2016.
    When Avent is sentenced on April 21, he could spend up to 25 years to life in prison.
