    CBS’ Verne Lundquist talks March Madness in Buffalo
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — For 33 years, Verne Lundquist has called some of the most memorable games in NCAA Tournament history, including Angola native Christian Laettner’s game-winning shot over Kentucky in 1992.
    Now Lundquist is back in Buffalo, calling the first and second round games at KeyBank Center. He sat down with News 4 Sports’ Tom Martin to discuss the tournament, his career and even that movie he once made an appearance in.

    Officer saves cold, naked baby after crash; driver arrested
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — NFTA Transit Police Chief George Gast says a man was taken into custody after officers found him with a cold, naked baby following a crash.
    Around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Gast says a vehicle was seen moving “extremely erratically” before it collided with several vehicles and crashed on Route 198 near Route 33.
    The vehicle was disabled after hitting a wall, Gast said.

    NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Niagara County received the brunt of a lake effect snow storm Wednesday.
    86-year-old Jean Marazita of North Tonawanda loaded up on groceries earlier this week, knowing the storm was headed her way.
    Wednesday afternoon, she told News 4 she hadn’t left her home since Monday.
    “I haven’t even tried to get out,” she said.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is firing back at Snoop Dogg days after the release of a music video in which the rapper points a toy gun at a clown dressed like Trump and pulls the trigger.

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man accused of killing his girlfriend and her 7-year-old son pleaded guilty to murder charges on Wednesday.
    Shane Stevenson, 31, admitted to strangling Raina Voll, 30, and Leo Klinger, 7, in their Cheektowaga apatment. Police officers say the two were found after an investigation that began in September.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – Western New York has been dealing with snow since Monday evening, and it’s added up in some places that usually miss the brunt of the winter snow storms.
    Niagara County drivers had a difficult morning commute Wednesday.
    People in Niagara Falls were urged not to travel unless necessary, under a travel advisory that was originally set to expire at 7 a.m. That was then extended until 10 a.m. before being extended until at least 3 p.m. Wednesday.

    ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) — Government offices in Orleans County closed on Wednesday due to the winter storm.
    Employees of County Building and Grounds, the Highway Department, Emergency Management Departments, the Sheriff’s Department’s Jail staff, 911 dispatchers and Road Patrol staff should report as normal, the Sheriff’s office says.
