    Sheriff James Voutour told News 4 the consolidation has generally been a good thing; it’s expanded municipalities access to one another and had made communication better, he said.

    Escaped Chautauqua County inmate captured
    SINCLAIRVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Jacob Raynor, 34, an inmate who escaped the custody of the Chautauqua County Sheriff last week, has been captured.
    Raynor was being arraigned in Charlotte Town Court on a felony drug charge when he escaped custody on the morning of March 7.
    Handcuffed, Raynor ran, and a deputy followed him, but the authorities could not catch him.
    Shortly after Raynor escaped, local schools went into a lockout procedure, but had normal dismissals.

A secondary disturbance develops and move over WNY for Mother’s Day Sunday.  While the day doesn’t look like a washout, this will bring a new batch of scattered, mostly light rain showers to the region. The better chance for steadier rain will come through the afternoon and will be more numerous the farther east of Buffalo.

    Spotty showers develop tonight through weekend; Warmer weather returns
    After a fairly quiet couple of days, the risk of raindrops increases tonight and into the weekend. Clouds thicken this evening with some spotty rain showers developing, especially by later at night.
    Rain showers are likely early Saturday, and then some on and off rain showers for the remainder of the day along with some dry time.  There’s a chance of a few showers Saturday evening. Most of this activity will be scattered and light, but a few moderate showers will be possible. We
