  ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB)- Multiple Orchard Park residents woke up to their cars vandalized overnight.
  Orchard Park police tell News 4 that three overpasses in the Town of Orchard Park and 11 cars in both the city and town were vandalized overnight.

• Feds investigating NCCC culinary institute project

  NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — The federal government believes there’s something fishy about how the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute was built.
  The government has subpoenaed the owner of the institute, Niagara County Community College, for all information related to the $26 million dollar project that was completed in 2012.

• Emerald South fined $10K for beating death of resident

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Short of closing the facility, the New York State Department of Health could not penalize Emerald South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center any more severely.
  After the death of nursing home resident Ruth Murray, who was severely beaten by another dementia patient, the state leveled the stiffest fine allowed by law.
  Despite this, it still took the nursing home months to come into compliance with the state.
