    Man arraigned on indictment charging him with friend’s death
    ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) — An East Aurora man has been arraigned on an indictment charging him with manslaughter.
    Jake Klocek, 20, is also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
    Prosecutors say that Klocek recklessly caused the death of Anthony King, 19, in Elma. King was shot, prosecutors say.
    At the time, Klocek was also 19.
    Klocek pleaded not guilty and remains free on $50,000 bail.
    If he is convicted, he could spend a maximum indeterminate sentence of 5-15 years in jail.

    FBI offering up to $30,000 for information on suspected bank robbers
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The FBI is offering an up to $30,000 reward to catch two suspected bank robbers.
    Authorities say they stole almost $80,000 from an Evans Bank in the Town of Tonawanda last year.
    The FBI says the men pointed BB guns at customers and employees, and forced their way into the vault during the robbery in January of 2016.
    Waqar Ghumman, 28, has two other bank robbery convictions on his record. Mohsin Zamir, 31, was allegedly his accomplice.

    A group of cancer survivors from Western New York are working to inspire others in similar situations through fitness. They created an exercise video to encourage people to get up and get moving.

    Orchard Park man accused of attacking co-worker
    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Orchard Park man is facing charges after an alleged attack on a co-worker.
    Police say Robert Wozniak, 58, turned himself in. He is accused of beating up a man he works with Monday morning on E. Quaker St.
    Authorities say the victim tried to avoid a fight. He suffered injuries to his eye, neck and shoulders.
    Wozniak was charged with assault and criminal mischief.

    Police, DEA agents investigate Town of Tonawanda home
    TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y (WIVB) — DEA agents and police from Amherst and the Town of Tonawanda were investigating a home on Niagara Falls Blvd. Tuesday afternoon.
    Authorities went to the home, which is in the Town of Tonawanda, to execute a search warrant for a “drug-related operation,” they say.
    It is not clear if anyone has been arrested, or if anything has been seized.

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Cheektowaga woman admitted to vehicular assault after a car crash injured three kids.
    In July of last year, Amber Miller, 24, was impaired by a depressant while driving on Central Blvd. in Cheektowaga.
    While driving, she crossed over to the other side of the road and hit three children. A 12-year-old, Devon Mills, was seriously injured. He is still recovering from a brain bleed.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Kevin Chodkowski holds his crying wife after hearing the sentence – 90 days in jail, served intermittently.  Chodkowski will be spending every weekend in the holding center for the next three months.

    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — The former maintenance supervisor at the University at Buffalo pleaded guilty to receiving bribes for a painting contract.
    Dean Yerry admitted to receiving kickbacks in exchange for a $1 million contract to paint multiple dorms on the Amherst campus.
    Some of the deals took place in bathrooms and vehicles on campus in an attempt to stay out of sight.

    ALEXANDER, N.Y. (WIVB) — Firefighters in the Town of Batavia responded to an unusual call over the weekend.
    A crew was dispatched to Brookville Road around 5 p.m. Sunday where a pet Parrot was stuck in a tree. The Parrot, named Champ, had only flown twice and was reported to be stuck in the tree for over three hours.
