    Fisherman finds body floating in water near Buffalo Harbor State Park
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- A fisherman spotted a body floating in the water near the Small Boat Harbor Sunday morning.
    South District officers and homicide detectives responded to the scene along with the underwater recovery team.
    Police say that it appears the body may have been in the water for some time.
    Authorities are attempting to identify the man and medical examiners are expected to perform an autopsy to determine a cause of death.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo mother continues to grieve over the death of her 25 year-old son. Police say Alvin McDowell was the second homicide of the new year, his case remains unsolved.
    Police say they don’t have any suspects and they’re looking for any possible lead. This case is just one of eight unsolved homicides in the city for 2017.
