    Slippery conditions cause driver to crash in Wheatfield
    WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) — Slippery conditions caused a car crash in Wheatfield Sunday morning.
    It happened on Niagara Road around 6:30 a.m.
    The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office says an 18-year-old woman lost control of her car and slid into oncoming traffic.
    After driving into traffic, she left the roadway and hit a tree on the passenger side of her car.
    The driver had to be extricated from the car and was taken by ambulance to ECMC.

    Grammy-winning jazz singer Al Jarreau dies at 76
     LOS ANGELES (AP) — Grammy-winning jazz singer Al Jarreau, who transcended genres over a 50-year career, died at a Los Angeles hospital Sunday, just days after announcing his retirement from touring due to exhaustion.
    His official Twitter account and website say he died surrounded by his wife, son and a few other family members and friends. He was 76.
    Jarreau was hospitalized earlier in the week and was said to have been improving slowly. The cause of his death was not revealed.

    Overall warm weather continues, few showers this week
    With mostly clear to partly cloudy skies tonight lows will drop back into the upper 20s and low 30s, making for a cool start to Monday morning. This lengthy fair, dry, and warm weather pattern will last much of this week with just a few minor hiccups.  A mostly sunny sky will prevail for President’s Day as temperatures again reach well into the 40s. Some of that sunshine should hold up into Tuesday morning before clouds increase and rain showers move in during the afternoon. &nbs

    Not much sun, but even warmer
    As if this late February weather isn’t already incredible, it continues to get even warmer over the next few days. After a quiet night, just some high clouds arrive today, clouds will increase and thicken by later in the afternoon with some rain showers developing ahead of a series of weather fronts toward Tuesday evening.  Readings warm well into the 50s once again Tuesday.
    Most of Wednesday should be dry with plenty of clouds.  The same will be true of Thursday with just a slig
