    ANDREWS, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina high school student is facing a possible 30-day jail sentence for allegedly throwing a paper airplane that struck a teacher in the eye.
    The South Strand News reports that Georgetown County sheriff’s deputies on Jan. 10 arrested a 17-year-old student at Andrews High School. An instructor, Edward McIver, told deputies he was hit in the eye by a paper airplane thrown during class.

    Pig recovering after it was found with several stab wounds
    SLOAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A little pig is on the mend. It was the victim of cruel treatment.
    The Erie County SPCA says some people in the Town of Sloan found the pig bleeding, with several stab wounds and a cable tie wrapped around its neck last week.
    The pig was rushed to a shelter in Tonawanda, where doctors performed surgery.
    They say the animal is in guarded condition. The SPCA wants to know who is responsible.

    CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — One person was injured after a shooting was reported at West Liberty High School, in Champaign County, Ohio.
    According to firefighters, they were dispatched at about 7:45am, Friday, to West Liberty High School on the report of a shooting.
    Firefighters say one person was taken to the hospital. The Champaign County Sheriff tells WDTN, the shooter is in custody and a weapon has been recovered.
