    Tonawanda man facing charges after pulling knife on officer
    CITY OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Tonawanda Police say a man pulled a knife on an officer during a domestic dispute Friday evening.
    According to the responding officers, 48 year-old Christopher Mobilia became upset and grabbed an 8″ carving knife and “squared up and took a aggressive stance” against an officer.
    The officer drew his weapon and ordered Mobilia three times to drop the knife. Mobilia complied and was arrested without further incident.

    ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y (WIVB) — Holiday Valley ski resort reopened for the season Saturday.
    In just a matter of 72 hours the slopes turned into a winter wonderland.
    Last year, winter enthusiasts didn’t make it out to the slopes as much because of the mild winter.
    “I got out about five times and two of the times was like two or three slopes open so it wasn’t that fun, ” said Alex Czechowski, snowboarder.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police are investigating an attempted home invasion. Police say a man posing as a Time Warner Cable employee tried entering a home on Gatchell Avenue around 7 p.m. Saturday.
    Police say the man was wearing a Time Warner Cable shirt and had an ID. Police say the homeowner called the cable company to verify, and they were told the man did not work for them.

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB)- About 40 kids put their best foot forward at ADPRO Sports Training Center in Orchard Park. Children 6-15 years old participated in the NFL Pass, Punt and Kick Buffalo Bills team championship.

    Christmas comes early for local families in need
    Santa came early for hundreds of children in Buffalo. On Saturday kids unwrapped presents at the Belle Center on the west side.
    This is the 18th year of Boxes of Love.
    The Buffalo Dream Center collects food and toys and then gives them to children who wouldn’t get a Christmas otherwise.
