• VIDEO: Country artist Granger Smith breaks ribs after stage fall, continues performance

  SAYREVILLE, N.J. (AP) — Country music artist Granger Smith was able to continue performing after falling from a stage in New Jersey, but was later hospitalized.
  A spokeswoman said in a statement Smith shared on Twitter that he fell while singing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville on Friday night.
  Smith was being treated for two broken ribs and a punctured and partially collapsed lung.
  Smith was standing on an audio monitor when it gave way and he fell into a metal barricade.

   OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — At least nine people died in a blaze that broke out during a party in a converted warehouse late Friday night in the San Francisco Bay Area, according to fire officials.
  Oakland Fire Chief Teresa Deloche-Reed said at least another 25 people are unaccounted for as of Saturday morning. Authorities are working to verify who was in the building — which was subdivided into artist studios — when the fire broke out.

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Four of Buffalo’s Bravest were brought to hospitals after being hurt at a house fire near Martin Luther King, Jr. Park early Saturday.
  Someone called to report the fire on Rohr Street around 1:20 a.m.
  Crews requested extra help to fight the fire in the vacant house.

• Rash of car break-ins reported in Orchard Park

  ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Orchard Park Police Department issued an alert Friday night after several neighborhoods reported car break-ins.
  Items have been reported stolen from unlocked vehicles. Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and never leave valuables inside them.
  It is unknown which neighborhoods have recently been targeted.

  NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Niagara Falls Police are looking for help from the public to find a missing man.
  Police say 44-year-old Daniel F. Sparks was last seen in Niagara Falls in early October of this year. Sparks is described as 5’11, 150 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. Sparks may require medication for physical and mental health conditions.
