    TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Town of Tonawanda police are looking to identify a person and vehicle captured in security photos.
    The photos were taken around 2:45 a.m. on Nov. 23. The person pictured arrived in the vehicle pictured below.
    Police would like to speak with them related to an investigation about the passing of counterfeit money.

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in West Seneca are looking for a missing man.
    Charles Metzler, 66, left his home on Wednesday to buy Christmas lights, but has not returned.
    Police believe he could possibly harm himself.
    Metzler is 5’8″, 105 lbs. and has brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green mock turtleneck and a tan jacket. He was driving a gray 2015 Honda Accord with a license plate that reads BRB-3400.

    An animal rescue group donated first-aid kits to the department. They have everything from bandages to syringes.

    Officer Duffy says Hydro does explosive searches for big events in Buffalo.
    He says K-9 officers can be the first in harm’s way during a dangerous situation.

    Man killed in Salamanca vehicle accident
    SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB) — One man is dead after a Wednesday accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Salamanca.
    Salamanca police say the accident happened on Clinton St. near the intersection of Summit St. around 5:10 p.m.
    The victim, who was only identified as a 54-year-old, was taken to Olean General Hospital, and then ECMC. He later died due to his injuries.

    NEW YORK (AP) — New York City’s Campaign Finance Board has fined former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner nearly $65,000 for violating election spending rules during his failed 2013 bid for mayor.
    The penalties were approved by the board Thursday.

    GATLINBURG, Tenn. (AP) — Crews discovered three more bodies as they searched the rubble of wildfires that torched hundreds of homes and businesses near the Great Smoky Mountains, bringing the death toll to 10, officials said Thursday.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A former Buffalo police lieutenant pleaded guilty to a federal civil rights charge related to incidents from 2009.
    From May 30-31 of that year, Gregory Kwiatkowski, 52, was working the overnight shift. During his shift, Kwiatkowski went to an address on Treehaven Rd. to respond to a vehicle that was stopped by Cheektowaga police.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- An Ohio State University police officer is being called a hero. He responded one minute after a call that a man plowed his car into a crowd of people at OSU and then attacked them with a knife.
    The officer shot and killed the suspect. Officials said it all happened in less than two minutes.
    University at Buffalo Police told News 4 its officers would be able to respond in one or two minutes if something happened on UB’s campus.
