    Lancaster man could receive up to 50 years in jail on child porn charges
    LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man from Lancaster who was accused of trying to extort young girls is going to prison.
    Joseph Lombardo, 25, pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.
    Lombardo was accused of meeting underage girls online, getting naked pictures and threatening to make the pictures public.
    Prosecutors say he also had sexual contact with two girls under the age of 18.
    Lombardo could get up to 50 years in prison when he is sentenced on March 7.

    NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. (WIVB) — On Thursday, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board will unveil its enhanced Falls illumination project.
    The $4 million project will be announced on the Canadian side of the Falls at Queen Victoria Place.

    BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Batavia man found with a dead cat cooking in his oven was sentenced to five years of probation.
    Before he was arrested in July, Darren Annovi, 42, had no criminal record.
    Firefighters say they saw light smoke everywhere when they entered his E. Main St. home. The cause of the smoke was determined to be the cat.

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Bills T Seantrel Henderson has been suspended without pay for 10 games after violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.
    Complications from Crohn’s disease kept Henderson off the field during the offseason, and when he was cleared for practice in August, he played one game with the team.
    Shortly after this, Henderson was suspended for four games after testing positive for marijuana.
    Henderson tried to appeal his suspension, but it was upheld.

    Wildfires create ‘State of Emergency’ in Tennessee
    GATLINBURG, T.N. (AP) — The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency says National Guard troops are being sent in to help out as wildfires continue to spread in Gatlinburg and surrounding areas in the Smoky Mountains National Park.
    TEMA spokesman Dean Flener says the troops will transport first responders, perform welfare checks and remove debris.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Closed for business. Mayor Byron Brown and Buffalo Police shut down Sweets Lounge and Restaurant Monday evening, a day after three women were shot at the bar.
    Buffalo Police told News 4 the women, in their 20’s and 30’s, were shot inside the bar Sunday at about 3:00 a.m.

    Police investigating hunting death in Chautauqua County
    TOWN OF BUSTI, N.Y. (WIVB) —  Police are investigating the death of a hunter in the Town of Busti.
    Fire officials say they were contacted by concerned family members after a man went out hunting Monday morning and did not return. After searching a wooded area near Orr Street and Garfield Road the deceased man was found.
    Investigators say the man suffered a gunshot wound. His name has not been released.
    The incident remains under investigation by the Lakewood-Busti Police Department.
