    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police say they identified a man whose dead body was found after a fire this morning.
    The male has been identified as Jimmy Anderson of 111 Cottage Street. That’s where Lockport Police and Fire Departments responded just before 6:30 this morning for a fire alarm.
    Dispatchers told News 4 that firefighters responded to a fire in a second floor hallway.

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Canisius College freshman was killed in a shooting Friday morning.
    Police said Victoria Brooks and her mother Christie Brooks were found dead from apparent gun shot wounds at a home on Wellington Ave. in Rochester just after 7 a.m.
    Family members said Victoria Brooks was home in Rochester celebrating Thanksgiving.
    Police said they have not arrested any suspects.

    Lockport man’s body found after fire
    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — First responders found a body inside a home while responding to a fire Friday morning.
    Authorities said they started evacuating the building at 111 Cottage St. around 6:30 a.m. They put the small fire out quickly.
    They found Jimmy Anderson of Lockport dead inside his apartment.
    Lockport police said the medical examiner is doing an autopsy. They do not know the cause of death at this time.

    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police and firefighters continue sorting out what happened at a home on Cottage Street and La Grange Avenue early Friday morning.
    Dispatchers tell News 4 firefighters responded to a small fire in a second floor hallway of the home before 6:30 a.m.
    Investigators later found someone dead in a nearby apartment. It’s unclear how the victim died.
