  The order was issued late Monday afternoon.
  Sources say the closure was due to “weekend incidents.”

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police say a car was shot on Woodlawn Ave. around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
  No one was injured, or even hit by the gunfire.
  Because of the close proximity of the shooting to School 53, police put additional patrol cars at the school. This was done to ensure a smooth dismissal of students.

  WHEATFIELD, N.Y. (WIVB) — A shelter in place is in effect on Niagara Falls Blvd. between Ward Rd. and Mavis Dr. in Wheatfield.
  The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office cited NY Alert in saying that the situation is due to a police incident.

  On this week’s SPCA Monday segment on News 4, the 1-year-old Miniature Pinscher made an appearance.

• Firefighter recovering from smoke inhalation after Batavia fire

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One firefighter is recovering from smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at Summit Lubricants on Pearl St. in Batavia.
  The fire started around 2:30 a.m. Monday in the air filtration system.
  Because of where it was, it was difficult for fire crews to get to the flames. Eventually, fire crews were able to put it out.
