    Batavia man charged with raping, sexually assaulting child over five-year period
    BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A convicted sex offender is accused of having a sexual relationship with a child over a five-year period.
    Batavia resident Marlek Holmes, 42, was charged with rape, sexual assault and other offenses.
    According to an 11-count indictment, Holmes sexually assaulted a child in Batavia and LeRoy between 2010 and last year. That child is said to be under the age of 13.
    Holmes is being held without bail and will be back in court on October 31.
