• Silver Alert: Authorities are searching for a missing 82-year-old woman

  SWEET HOME, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office is looking for missing Elnora Goggins, 82.
  Authorities describe her as a black woman, 5’2″, 105 lbs., with grey hair and brown eyes.
  Goggins was last seen wearing a red jacket, red jeans, a dark blue baseball cap and glasses.
  Goggins may have dementia or a related cognitive disorder.
  Her last known location is Sheridan Drive near Sweet Home.

• Two officers killed, one injured in Palm Springs shooting

  PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (AP modified) — Palm Springs police say three officers were shot Saturday afternoon.
  Police say the shooting occurred after they arrived at a home following a report of a domestic disturbance.
  Two officers were killed and one injured.
   One officer was identified as Jose Vega, a 35 year veteran; due to retire in December. The other officers have not been identified.
