    Pearl St. opens for two-way traffic

    Pearl St. is now open to two-way traffic. Crews worked through Thursday night to put new stripes on the road.

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — The Buffalo Bills have activated Marcell Dareus even though the star defensive tackle is questionable to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams due to a hamstring injury.

    Disney World will reopen Saturday morning
    ORLANDO, Fla. (MEDIA GENERAL) – Walt Disney World has announced it will reopen Saturday morning after closing to prepare for Hurricane Matthew.
    The park closed for the fourth time in its 45-year history Thursday night, all in anticipation of major hurricanes.     LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people were arrested on gun and drug charges at the Lewiston Bridge Friday morning.
    The unnamed males, ages 16 and 19, were questioned by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers when they were found in a rental vehicle with no driver’s licenses or other forms of identification.
    They told authorities that they made a wrong turn after dropping off a family member in Lewiston. They then made a U-turn before reaching Canada, officers say.

    Series of projects announced to improve safety on Skyway
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — With Thursday’s announcement of improvements on the Thruway, the Department of Transportation announced changes coming to the Buffalo Skyway one day later.

    GOWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Four people were arrested amid a drug investigation in the Village of Gowanda.
    The simultaneous arrests of Tina Ganschow, 53, Michael Smith, 43, George Kennedy, 26, and Travis Neu, 27, took place early Monday morning.
    All four were charged with criminal controlled substance possession, and possession with intent to sell. Gowanda police say heroin, cocaine and fentanyl were sold.

    NEW DELHI (AP) – Indian police have arrested 70 people and are questioning hundreds more after uncovering a massive scam to cheat thousands of Americans out of millions of dollars by posing as U.S. tax authorities and demanding unpaid taxes, a police officer said Thursday.

    Perry woman admits to killing former friend dating ex-boyfriend
    WARSAW, N.Y. (AP) — A Perry woman has pleaded guilty to murdering a former friend who was dating the killer’s boyfriend.
    Prosecutors in Wyoming County say 39-year-old Kira Kastenhuber pleaded guilty Thursday to a second-degree murder charge in exchange for a sentence of 15 years to life in prison.

    TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman was killed in a vehicle crash in the town of Niagara Friday morning.
    Police there say she tried to pass another vehicle on Lockport Road when she clipped the vehicle and went sideways.
    During this time, someone driving in the opposite direction slammed into her vehicle’s side.
    After being taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, the woman died.
    It is not clear if either of the other drivers were injured.
