    Traffic stop in Niagara Falls leads to the arrest of two men
    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man is in the hospital after he had a medical emergency while being arrested.
    New York State Police say they pulled over 23-year-old Regis Cox around 12:30 p.m. Saturday for tinted windows and failing to signal a lane change on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
    After searching the vehicle police found crack cocaine.
    Troopers say both Cox and his passenger, 21-year-old Diamond Ubiles, denied possession.

    Man killed in late night stabbing
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Police said a 19-year-old man was stabbed and killed in Buffalo.
    It happened at 10:20 Saturday night on Genesee St. near Leslie St. on the city’s east side.
    Authorities said the victim was stabbed during a fight.
    He was pronounced dead at ECMC.
    Police have not arrested a suspect for the stabbing. If you have any information on what happened, you can call the BPD confidential tip line at (716) 847 – 2255.

    Buffalo children set new record for “Reading Rules Challenge”
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — It was another record-setting year for Buffalo Mayor Bryon Brown’s Reading Rules Challenge.
    Children in grades kindergarten through eighth, were required to read seven books and write summaries for each book this summer.
    High schoolers had to read five books and also write summaries.
    The Reading Rules Challenge started in 2001. Mayor Brown says since then the program has continued to grow and thrive.
