    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — At first city officials said the new 43 million dollar intermodal station would be open by June, then that got pushed up to July, then August. It’s now late September and it still hasn’t opened, and some residents are growing impatient.
    “I think we’re probably going to be waiting pretty much another two months at least,” said Corey Powell, who works in Niagara Falls.

    Officers in Elyria say the woman was unresponsive in the truck and they had to break a window before they could revive her with the overdose antidote naloxone.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Niagara Falls police are trying to find out who uprooted a dozen trees on Main Street. Police believe it happened over the weekend, either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
    Twelve trees were uprooted on both the right and left side of Main Street close to the new train station. Mayor Dyster says to replace them it will cost the city about $200 per tree, replacing all of them will cost at least $2,400.

    VERNON, Ind. (AP) — A Pennsylvania man whose girlfriend died when the SUV he was driving plunged down an embankment damaged his legs so badly that he had to stay with her body for three days before he was able to crawl to a roadside for help.
    Nikki K. Reed, 37, of Seymour, Indiana, died instantly when the vehicle crashed Saturday afternoon near the Jennings-Ripley County line in southeast Indiana, state police said. Troopers found Kevin Bell, 39, of Dover, Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening.

    Teen accused of stabbing man with metal hair pick
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police arrested a teenager in relation to an early Tuesday morning stabbing.
    Around 5:30 a.m., police say a 17-year-old on Bailey Ave. stabbed a 45-year-old Buffalo man in the hand with a metal hair pick. An altercation between the two led to the stabbing, according to police.

    Mercy Flight was called to the corner of Route 19 and Maple Ave. in Bergen around 8:45 a.m.

    DETROIT (AP) — Evenflo is recalling nearly 30,000 combination booster seats because children can loosen the harness without an adult’s knowledge.
    The recall covers certain Evolve 3-in-1 seats. Government documents say that if the harness is loose, it could increase the risk of injury in a crash.

    GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — Grand Island fire officials say a contractor was seriously injured in a fall from a ladder on Park Place.
    Shortly after 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Robert Power, 52, a Niagara Falls resident, was washing the second-floor windows of a residence when his ladder slid off a dormer, causing him to fall.
    Power fell between 15 and 20 feet to the ground.
