    Motorcyclist killed in crash in Buffalo
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police ask witnesses to a fatal motorcycle crash to contact them.
    A Buffalo man, 29, heading west on Genesee Street, crashed a motorcycle at Sherman Street, according to a police spokesman.
    The man was brought to Erie County Medical Center where he died.   Police have not released his name.
    Accident investigators are looking for additional information from anyone who saw the crash; witnesses can call the Accident Investigation Bureau at (716) 851-4537.

    GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — A house fire early Sunday in Grand Island is most likely electrical, according to volunteers at the scene.
    The fire started in a sunroom in the back of the house, shortly after midnight on East River Road, just north of Ransom Road.
    There were people living there, according to first responders.

    GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) — A house fire early Sunday in Grand Island is most likely caused by a flood light, according to fire crews.
    The fire started in a sun room in the back of the house, around 1:00 a.m. on East River Road, just north of Ransom Road. A homeowner called 911 after hot, red embers started falling through the sun room.
    The homeowner was first alerted of the fire when the family dog began barking very loudly at an abnormal time.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Detectives were busy early Sunday morning, when they were called to a corner after reports of a shooting.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An eight-year-old boy remains in critical condition after he was shot in the head Thursday night.
    Donnell Bibbes continues to fight for his life at Women and Children’s hospital after being shot on South Division Street.
    He was sitting in a parked car with his two brothers and mother when someone fired 10 to 15 shots, critically injuring Donnell.
    Since the shooting community members and city leaders have rallied together to put an end to the senseless violence.

    First responders raise money for Special Olympics
    ANGOLA, N.Y. (WIVB)- First responders took on a unique challenge on Saturday to help raise money for the Special Olympics.
    Teams from Evans Center Volunteer Fire Company and Angola Volunteer Fire Company, and New York State Troopers competed to see who could pull a fire truck the fastest during the law enforcement torch run.
    This is the largest grassroots fundraising and public awareness event for Special Olympics in the world.

    Lancaster-Depew Boys & Girls Club reopens after fire
    DEPEW, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Lancaster-Depew Boys and Girls Club is finally reopening, three a half years after a devastating fire.
    The club was forced to close after it burned down on New Years Day in 2013. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Saturday afternoon.
    Directors say the new building will give kids and teens much more to do. The club provides after school programs to kids seven to 19-years-old.
