    Tree topples onto car in City of Tonawanda
    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A tree crashed onto a vehicle in the City of Tonawanda Tuesday afternoon.
    Police provided pictures of the incident, which took place around 5 p.m. on Franklin St.
    It is not clear how much damage the tree caused, or how long the street will be blocked, but it did knock down some power lines.
    No one was injured.

    PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP modified) — The NFL has suspended Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
    The suspension was announced by the team on Tuesday afternoon.
    “Dareus will be eligible to return to the Bills’ active roster on Monday, October 3 following the team’s October 2 game against the New England Patriots,” an NFL spokesperson said.

    BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Batavia Police say a child sent sexually explicit photographs of himself to a teacher, and now the teacher is facing charges.
    Monroe County resident Anthony Antinore, 51, is a middle school teacher at the City of Batavia School District. Police say he asked the victim to send him explicit photographs.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Erie County Sheriff’s Office says that an inmate was hospitalized after jumping roughly 10-15 feet down from a catwalk.
    The incident occurred while inmates were out of their cells during normal recess time.
    Officials at the county’s Holding Center say the inmate was apparently “acting on a dare” when he jumped from the mezzanine.
    The inmate was taken to a hospital with possible non-life threatening leg injuries.

    Thompson was sentenced to 6 months of probation and received a $10,000 fine, which he has 30 days to pay.
