    Boating accident leaves man in critical condition
    NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man participating in a boating activity known as the Buffalo Poker Run is in critical condition after his boat overturned.
    The run was passing through the Niagara River at Gratwick Park when a boat carrying a male and female passenger flipped over. Both passengers were ejected from the boat. The man suffered serious head and leg injuries while the female passenger was uninjured. Multiple rescue crews responded to the scene.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police are investigating an overnight shooting that happened on Hempstead Avenue.
    Police say a 26-year-old man was struck by gunfire multiple times just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
    He was transported to ECMC with injuries that appear to be life threatening.

    East Eagle Street fire
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Firefighters needed extra crews to put out a house fire in the city early Saturday morning.
    The fire started in a house on East Eagle Street around 2:00 a.m.  Dispatchers ordered additional crews there after first reports of how large the fire was.
    At one point firefighters had to back away from the burning house because of a danger of collapse.  Part of a wall did give way during the fire.
    There are no reports of injuries so far.

    Lockport, N.Y. (WIVB) – A body has been found in the debris of the large plant fire.
    Lockport Police sent out the news late Friday night. Police said the body was discovered around 6:51 p.m. Friday on Stevens Street.

    Following the fire at a tire recycling plant, an oily sheen was spotted on the surface of the canal.
