    SAGAMIHARA, Japan (AP) — The Kyodo news agency is reporting that 19 people are dead and 20 injured following a knife attack in Sagamihara, outside Tokyo.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York is lifting its ban on serving food or beverages at funeral homes next year under a law signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
    The measure directs the state health department to write regulations and takes effect in 180 days.
    It authorizes funeral homes to serve or have catered service for non-alcoholic beverages and incidental food like baked goods, sandwiches, snacks and platters.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police say a 15-year-old boy stabbed another teenager on Stevenson St. just after midnight Monday.

    OLEAN, NY (WIVB) –  A Southern Tier man has been arrested for stealing his brother’s firearms.
    New York State Police arrested Ryen Putt, 24, of Olean and charged him with grand larceny.
    Lawmen responded to a call of three long guns missing from a home on Happy Hollow Road in the Town of Portville.  Putt allegedly sold the firearms to a local gunshop.

    LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A number of homes in Erie County had low water pressure or no water at all Sunday after the county announced there were 11 water main breaks.
    A homeowner in Lackawanna suffered even more from the breaks after water started rushing into her basement.

    CITY OF NORTH TONAWANDA (WIVB) — Two people had to be rescued after a rowboat they were in capsized in the Niagara River.
    NCSO Marine Deputies and City of Tonawanda Marine police responded to a call just after 2 p.m. Sunday, for a man in the water on the west side of Tonawanda Island, who could not be found.
