    NBA pulls All-Star Game from North Carolina citing HB2
    CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WNCN) – The NBA has pulled the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte over North Carolina’s controversial House Bill 2.
    In a statement released late Thursday afternoon, the NBA said it had decided to relocate the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte “with the hope of rescheduling for 2019.”
    Since March, when North Carolina enacted HB2, the NBA said the league and the Charlotte Hornets have been working diligently to foster constructive dialogue to promote change.

    Man accused of oral sexual contact with teen boy
    DARIEN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Following a Genesee County Sheriff’s Office investigation, a Steuben County man was accused of sexual contact with a teenager in Darien.
    Canisteo resident Joel Shorts, 55, was charged with third-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.
    An investigation into Shorts led to him being accused of oral sexual conduct with a 15-year-old boy.
    Shorts was arraigned in Darien Town Court and released under supervision.

    The victim is Mohammad Maaz Shaikh, 25, who was spotted falling into the water on the Canadian side last Saturday, July 16.
