    SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person was killed after a U.S. Navy Blue Angels jet crashed Thursday afternoon in Tennessee near Nashville ahead of their weekend air show at the city’s airport.
    A La Vergne official confirmed the accident happened around 3 p.m. near Weakly Lane, not far from the bowling alley.
    At least one person was killed. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man who goes by “Chino” was sentenced to 23 years behind bars after fatally shooting another man in a city barber shop.
    Luis Oliveras-Arvelo, 25, killed Juan Santiago, 29, on Niagara St. in September and admitted to his crime in April.
    Prosecutors say the shooting may have been retaliatory in nature, as the victim allegedly threatened Oliveras-Arvelo with a machete ten minutes before the shooting.

    CANEADEA, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Allegany County man is facing serious drug charges.
    27-year-old Thomas J. Bromstead, of Caneadea, was arrested on June 1st by investigators from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit. He was charged with fifth-degree criminal marijuana possession and third-degree criminal sale of marijuana.

    CHICAGO (AP) — A law-enforcement official tells The Associated Press that tests show the music superstar died of an opioid overdose.
    The 57-year-old singer was found dead April 21 at his Minneapolis-area estate.
    The official, who is close to the investigation, spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Multiple local police agencies are working together to find a group of people suspected of using cloned credit cards to make tens of thousands of dollars in purchases.
    Police say the group has been using the fraudulent cards to buy gift cards at local grocery stores over the past several weeks. As of Thursday, the group had made nearly $40,000 in fraudulent purchases, according to police.

    OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — Deputies with the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 26-year-old Olean man who they say was having sex with a 14-year-old girl over the course of the past year.
    Authorities say Andrew Stephen, 26, committed the crimes in the Town of Olean. He was charged with second-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child.
