    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A new study looking at health and fitness across America has ranked Buffalo as the 35th most fit city in the United States.
    The study looks at numerous factors including the percentage of people who are obese, the percent who says they’ve worked out in the last 30 days; those who claim they eat fruits and vegetables daily.

    BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A pilot is unharmed after making an emergency landing on E. Saile Drive in the Town of Batavia.

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — After an arrest dating back to January of 2014, a West Seneca man has admitted to possessing child pornography.
    Joseph Heleniak, 71, pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday.
    Prosecutors say that between August 30, 2013 and the following day, Heleniak kept images of child porn in his email account after getting them over the Internet. Some of the children pictured were prepubescent.

    Former postal worker admits to keeping more than 700 pieces of mail for herself
    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A former mail carrier pleaded guilty to not delivering more than 700 pieces of mail while on duty.
    When sentenced on August 16, Jennifer Serrano, 26, could spend up to six months in jail and pay a $5,000 fine.
    The incidents where Serrano did not deliver mail happened between March of 2013 and February of 2014. During this time, the Tonawanda woman instead brought it to her home and stored it.
    She later resigned from the U.S. Postal Service.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo resident Alexander Snow, 34, was sentenced to 27 months in prison after being convicted of distributing fentanyl in the city.
    Snow’s short-lived distribution lasted from December of 2014 to January the following year.
    Undercover agents worked on the case and purchased drugs from Snow six times.
    The Drug Enforcement Administration conducted the investigation into Snow’s activity.

    Prosecutors say McCabe was driving under the influence of narcotics during an October crash that killed his 4-year-old son.
    The Belfast man, his son and his niece slammed into a tractor trailer, putting McCabe into a coma for days.
