    CONEWANGO VALLEY, N.Y. (WIVB)- There’s no sound Hunter Colvin loves more than hearing his 4-H pigs fight for his attention.
    Thanks to friends and neighbors in the Southern Tier, he’ll be spending a lot more time with them.
    “It’s gonna be cool,” he told News 4 Sunday.
    Hunter started showing pigs through 4-H a few years ago, but he’s had a hard time; he has cerebral palsy, and getting around a show arena in a standard wheelchair is close to impossible.

    Gov. John Kasich is calling the slaying of eight family members in rural southern Ohio “a horrible set of murders.”

    BUFFALO, (AP) — The music director of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Virginia Symphony has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
    JoAnn Falletta will be inducted into the prestigious academy during an October ceremony in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

    Police investigate overnight shooting in Buffalo’s theater district
    BUFFALO (WIVB) – Buffalo police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man in critical condition.
    Detectives tell News 4 that a 31-year-old man was found shot outside of his car in a parking lot at Chippewa and Pearl Street.
    It happened around 3:30 Sunday morning.
    The victim was taken to ECMC where he is listed in critical condition.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Police are investigating after a shooting on Buffalo’s East Side.
    BPD posted on Twitter around 8:00 p.m. that two people were shot in the leg in the 300 block of Massachusetts Ave. Police say the injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

    CELERON, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and NYS Police have arrested a man in Celeron for possessing drugs on Friday.
    Authorities, including the Jamestown Police SWAT team, executed a search warrant at a home on Smith St. as part of an investigation into the sale and trafficking of drugs.
    Investigators found methamphetamine, prescription pills, packaging materials and other paraphernalia.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York state is making free state park passes available to fourth graders and their families as part of an effort to encourage kids to enjoy the state’s outdoors.
