    FRENCH CREEK, N.Y. (WIVB) — An 88-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after he was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning.
    Police say George Boozel was attempting to cross Griffin Road when a westbound vehicle hit him. The accident occurred just before 8:30 A.M.
    The incident remains under investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and charges are pending.

    Man struck by gunfire following dispute
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 38-year-old Buffalo man was hospitalized Saturday night after being struck by gunfire on LeRoy Avenue.
    Police say the man was shot following an apparent dispute with another individual.
    He was transported to ECMC and is in fair condition.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Fire investigators blame arson for a house fire where they had to rescue two people and four dogs.
    The fire on Massachusetts Avenue near West Utica Street started around 12:45 a.m.
    One person was pulled to safety from the porch; another was removed from inside the house.
    There are no reports of injuries.Damages are estimated at $40,000.
