    Woman hit by car crossing Niagara Falls Blvd
    AMHERST, NY (WIVB)–A 42-year old woman was hit by a car crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst just after midnight Sunday.
    Amherst police say Julie Galatioto from Amherst was crossing the Boulevard when she was hit by a 2011 Ford driven by 34-year old Muhammad Sheikh of Lackawanna. This happened near the intersection of Tonawanda Creek Road.
    Police say Galatioto was taken to ECMC and is listed in serious condition in the ICU.

    NEW ORLEANS (AP) Former New Orleans Saints player Will Smith was shot and killed late Saturday after a traffic accident.
    An emailed statement from New Orleans city coroner Jeffrey C. Rouse said that Smith died “of multiple gunshot wounds” after a traffic accident on Camp Street. The former defensive end was 34 years old. No other information was released.

    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police are asking for the public’s help solving a double shooting near the University at Buffalo south campus Sunday morning.
    Witnesses told police, an altercation began inside Habibi Sheesha Lounge on Main Street just before 2:00 a.m., and when the people involved went to a nearby parking lot, someone started shooting.
    Two victims were taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, according to police; investigators did not release their names or conditions.
