  NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — By 9:30 on weekday mornings, forty 3-year-olds start class at the Harry Abate Elementary School in Niagara Falls.

  FALCONER, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two female students were rushed to WCA Hospital after a vehicle ran into them in front of Falconer Central Junior-Senior High School.
  Volunteer Fire Chief Charlie Piazza confirmed Alstar EMS, Falconer Volunteer Fire Company and Town of Ellicott Police responded to the scene of the crash at East Avenue and West Main Street.

  SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Cattaraugus County man who pleaded guilty to slamming a baby’s head into a hard object after shaking her will spend time in prison after a judge sentenced him on Monday.

• Pembroke woman sentenced after drunk driving led to fatal crash

  BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Pembroke woman, who admitted to driving drunk during a crash that killed 18-year-old Alyson Krzanak, will spend six months in jail and five years on probation.
  Hannah Dibble, 22, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and DWI charges after the vehicle she was driving collided with a tractor-trailer in the Genesee County town of Bethany in February of 2015.
  All six people in the vehicle were injured, but Krzanak died while receiving medical treatment at ECMC.
