  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) –  The owners of the Elmwood Avenue staple Blue Monk announce the restaurant will be closing its doors. News spread fast on social media. Long-time customers expressed their sadness to see it go.In just a few weeks the taps will be turned off at Blue Monk.

  MOSCOW (AP) — A Dubai airliner with 62 people on board nosedived and exploded in a giant fireball early Saturday while trying to land in strong winds in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, killing all aboard, officials said.

  MOSCOW (AP) — Russia’s Emergencies Ministry says a passenger airliner from Dubai has crashed while trying to land at the airport in the southern city of Rostov-on-Don.
  A ministry statement says the crash occurred Saturday morning and identified the plane as a Boeing 738 that was coming from Dubai, but did not say how many people were aboard. Russian news reports cited unnamed sources as saying there were around 60 people aboard.
