  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Fire crews were on scene for hours Saturday, investigating a blaze they’re calling “suspicious”.
  The fire commissioner says the blaze broke out just before 8 p.m. at an abandoned bar on Military Road between Lawn and Hertel. The commissioner says the fire went to an attached house, the damage to both sites is extensive.

  Buffalo Police received a call after just 11 p.m., reporting shots fired.

• Blake Hamilton’s game-winner sends UB dancing again

  CLEVELAND, OH. (WIVB) — Blake Hamilton knocked down a three with 1.8 seconds left on the clock to send the UB men’s basketball team to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight year.
  Hamilton was actually injured earlier in the game, when he was shoved to the ground on a rebound and came up holding his shooting elbow gingerly.

  Police describe the shooting of two teens as an apparent drive-by.It happened around 8:00 p.m. on LaSalle Avenue, near Suffolk Street.
  A male, 16, and a female, 15, were both brought to Erie County Medical Center, according to Buffalo Police, who say the female’s injuries are considered life-threatening.

  The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. in the 600 block of LaSalle Avenue, near Suffolk Street.
  Buffalo resident Davone Washington, 16, was treated and released from ECMC. Shaunice Gamblin, 15, was taken to ECMC where she later died.

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An apparent drive-by shooting on the city’s east side has killed one teen and injured another.
  The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. in the 600 block of LaSalle Avenue, near Suffolk Street.
  The 16 year-old male was treated and released from ECMC. The 15 year-old female victim was taken to ECMC where she later died.

• Eighth-seeded UB women win MAC championship

  CLEVELAND, OH. (WIVB) — Stephanie Reid’s buzzer-beater in overtime sent UB to its first ever MAC Tournament title and gave the Bulls a berth in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
  The Bulls took down Central Michigan 73-71, becoming the first eighth seed in MAC Tournament history to win the tournament championship.
  Joanna Smith led the way with 23 points. Reid had 10 points, including the game-winner in OT.
