    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The driver who survived a high speed crash between a pickup truck and a car pleaded guilty on Monday to a felony.
    Erie County officials say Sarah Skotnicki, 26, crossed a double yellow line on Sept. 9, 2015, just before 11:30 a.m. on French Road in the Village of Depew, colliding with a car. The collision killed 72-year-old Carol Dion, who drove the car, and injured her granddaughter, 23-year-old Katrina Dion.

    Man dies in head-on crash in Erie County
    LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man is dead following a Monday crash in Lancaster between a van and tractor trailer.
    Police in Lancaster responded to the scene of a crash on Genesee Street near Harris Hill Road just before 12 p.m. Officers say they believe the man driving the van crossed the center of the road, striking the tractor trailer.
    The crash killed the driver of the van, sparking an investigation. Officers have yet to release the man’s identity.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo Police officer has been suspended with pay after allegedly drinking and driving.
    Sources say the alleged Friday incident led to the arrest of David Rodriguez — a 22-year veteran of the Buffalo Police.
    The officer is a Marine Corps veteran and an accident investigator.

    Officials tell News 4 the man drove down an embankment, onto a paved path and hit the tribute garden.
    Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says the man was trying to drive into the river, then he left his car and jumped into the river. He was rescued and taken to ECMC for treatment.
