    Cheektowaga police investigate fatal hit-and-run
    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Cheektowaga Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred early Sunday morning.
    Police responded to a call of an unresponsive male in the parking lot of 1460 French Road around 4:55 a.m.
    Investigators say that the victim, 27 year-old Adam Olewniczak, had been struck by a motor vehicle. Olewniczak was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he died of his injuries.

    Victim of fatal Weston Avenue shooting identified
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man was shot and killed outside of a store on Weston Avenue Saturday night.
    This happened on the 300 block near Kensington and Bailey just before 11 p.m.
    Buffalo resident James Mitchell, 22, was shot outside before walking into the store and collapsing. He then succumbed to his injuries.
    Police are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call the Buffalo Police Confidential tip line at 847-2255.
