  EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB)- An East Aurora mother has been charged following a fire that trapped her family inside their home on Friday.
  It is alleged that Kirstin Kelly, 28, became extremely intoxicated and attempted to cook on a gas stove in the kitchen. Police say she fell asleep and left the food unattended, allowing it to overcook and ignite a fire in the area above the stove before spreading.

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)-  More than 100 tires were slashed in the Allen st. and Kleinhans area overnight.

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Over 100 tires were slashed in the Allen st. and Kleinhans area overnight. 
  Cars parked on College Street, Mariner and other side streets near Kleinhans were targeted. Buffalo Police say the vandalism most likely occurred between 10 .p.m Saturday night and 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – We told you here on News 4 the Erie County Health Department has come up with nine zip codes in Buffalo where there is heightened risk for kids getting lead poisoning. Lead has been an issue in Western New York since the 1980’s when many homes had lead paint.

• Senator Schumer wants government to set airline seat-size rules
