    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Despite growth in the western New York job market, officials confirmed Friday Yahoo will be slashing its local workforce.
    Yahoo, which employs just over 200 employees at its Lockport call center, confirmed it will need to slash employees at the call center to support initiatives in the company which will allow for new employment opportunities in other areas of the nation.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man has been accused of sexually abusing three children younger than 11 in Niagara County.
    Charles Bass, Sr., 43, faces two counts of 1st degree felony criminal sexual act. New York State Police say the alleged incidents occurred in Niagara Falls and North Tonawanda.
    Bass was jailed in Niagara County without bail following arraignment.
