    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)-  A group of teenagers in Buffalo made a big donation on Tuesday.
    “It’s just hair, it’ll grow back,” said Mia Trietley, who donated her hair to the non-profit Children With Hair Loss.
    Trietley and four other girls decided to cut their hair to be made into wigs for sick children.
    “Why not do something out of the ordinary,” said friend Eva Sidaris.

    TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 6 a.m. Town of Tonawanda fire was extinguished Monday morning and left an icy mess.
    The fire happened at a two-family home on Roswell Ave. Similar to another Monday fire in Ontario County, frozen hydrants gave fire crews trouble at the scene.

    FARMINGTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — Frozen hydrants proved to be a major issue during a Monday morning fire at an American’s Best Value Inn in Ontario County.
    Flames and heavy smoke were still able to be seen from the roof of the hotel in Farmington on Route 96 more than two hours after the fire started.
    The blaze began around 3:30 a.m. and spread faster than fire crews could put up lines. Backup was called in in the form of tankers. In all, 18 crews responded to the scene.
