• Hospital construction will close portion of Ellicott St. all of February

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- In preparation for the John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, work will begin on the bridge to connect the new hospital to Buffalo General Medical Center.
  As a safety precaution for all vehicular traffic, Ellicott Street between High and Goodrich Streets will be closed for the month of February.

(AP) — A second Virginia Tech student has been arrested in connection with the death of a 13-year-old girl whose disappearance earlier this week from her Virginia home set off a frantic four-day search.Blacksburg Police say Natalie M. Keepers, 19, is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Jail on charges of improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony. • Buffalo police investigate Peck Street shooting

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo police are investigating an overnight shooting on Peck Street.
  Police say a 38 year-old man was struck by gunfire just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
