    INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — People at The Annual Mozel Sanders Foundation’s “Feed The Hungry” campaign are getting food ready for more than 40,000 people on Thanksgiving.

    14,000 runners and walkers take part in Turkey Trot
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The 120th annual YMCA Turkey Trot is in the books, and 14,000 people turned out to take part in this year’s Thanksgiving Day tradition.
    The walkers and runners made their way downtown over a five mile course beginning right around 9 a.m. Thursday. Many of the participants took on the race in costumes, dressed as everything from turkeys and pilgrims, to Buffalo Sabres, to Santa and superheroes.

    Alleged bank robber found under pile of clothes
    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Wednesday, Niagara Falls Police Detectives say they arrested a suspect in the robbery of a Main Street Key Bank branch.
    The robbery occurred on Tuesday.
    Authorities charged Niagara Falls resident Kristopher Ronan, 21, with 1st degree robbery.
    He was said to be found hiding under a pile of clothes in his 10th Street apartment.

    MOUNT VERNON, Ohio (WCMH) – At the First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Sarah Wood and her crew are cooking for close to 500 people.
    Her faith, volunteers, and donations make it all happen.

    Driver hospitalized after Route 219 rollover
    CONCORD, N.Y. (WIVB) — A vehicle accident on Route 219 has put one person in the hospital with serious injuries.
    The Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident around 6:20 a.m. on Thursday.
    Witnesses say the accident was a vehicle rollover.
    Authorities say the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The driver was taken to Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital.
    Detours with cones, signs and vehicles guiding traffic were put in place after in the incident.

    NEW YORK (WIVB) — Two local teens from West Seneca will be marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Thursday morning.
    Madalyn Stencel and Dominic Cascio will be part of the Macy’s Great American Marching Band. They’ve been in New York City since Saturday learning the music and drills for the event.

    Man accused of more than 200 counts of sex abuse attempts suicide
    LOCKPORT, N.Y (WIVB) — A man arrested in Fall of 2014, accused of over 200 counts of sexual abuse, has attempted suicide.
    Iver Phallen, 67, is accused of sexual assault, strangulation and kidnapping at least three women. He allegedly met some of the women at a North Buffalo strip club.
    During a search of his Lewiston residence, authorities say they found ropes, gags, surgical instruments and a list of targeted women.
