    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Niagara Falls newspaper owner accused of wire fraud and money laundering went before a judge today. Frank Parlato Junior is charged in a 19-count indictment.
    Parlato’s case is being called unusual because he’s writing about his own lawsuit in two local papers. He owns ArtVoice and The Niagara Falls Reporter.

    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Members of the public helped police in Niagara County arrest a man who is accused of carrying out a lewd act in public.
    Police say Rohan G. Purville, a 39-year-old local man, acted in a lewd manner inside the Walmart in Lockport on Nov. 15. The act, police say, lasted over an hour.

    NEW ORLEANS, L.A. (WIVB) — 16 people are in the hospital following a shooting at a playground Sunday Night. At least 500 people were at the Bunny Friend playground to film a music video.
    New Orleans Police said all of the victims were stable and all had either direct gunshot wounds or graze wounds. Police are still searching for the suspected shooters.
