    Clarence doctor sentenced for writing illegal prescriptions
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Matthew Bennett, 49, was sentenced to 36 months behind bars on Monday for writing illegal prescriptions in exchange for personal favors, paper products, and a gas grill.
    Bennett pleaded guilty to the crime earlier this year. Prosecutors say he gave drugs to undercover officers without a proper medical exam. He reportedly wrote prescriptions for oxycodone.

    The fire broke out between 7 and 8 a.m.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police have identified two men who were killed in a shooting on Fillmore avenue on Friday evening.
    Jermaine Moss, 21, was declared dead at the scene of the crime. Norman Fullenweider, 19, died later on at ECMC.
    The two men were sitting in a parked car on Friday evening when two gunmen shot them and fled the scene on foot.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two vehicles were involved in a head-on crash around 1 a.m. on Monday morning.
    First responders rushed to the area of E. Ferry St. and Donovan Drive where they had to free at least one person who was trapped in a car.
    Four victims were taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
    In total, six people were reportedly involved in the crash. Authorities are investigating what caused the incident.
