    SHERMAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire on Route 430 in Sherman ends in a total loss Thursday.
    Just after 3 a.m., the Sherman Fire Department, with assistance from other local crews fought a large fire that struck the Sherman Livestock Auction Barns.
    An investigation by Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies says the fire started in the facility’s arena, but a cause is not yet known.
