    Police arrest 6 people wanted on family violence warrants
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — In a push to round up any wanted residents with family violence-related warrants, police teamed up and captured six wanted men.
    Officers say their push on Wednesday was part of the 13th annual National Family Violence and Family Court Warrant Sweep. Police, from traffic and patrol officers to detectives, all worked together to arrest six people and to work with seventh to turn himself in.

    SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — High School Principal Vincent Vanderlip has been placed on leave by the Springville-Griffith Institute School District.
    District Interim Schools Superintendent Sylvia Root confirmed Wednesday that Vanderlip had been placed on leave.  She declined to say why or how long the leave would last.

    State Police charge four men after Angola Service Area heist
    EVANS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A two-week-long investigation by State Police resulted in the arrests of four western New York men.
    Gage Hontz, 19; Kendall May, 19; Dino Bruscia, 22; and Tyler Mascio, 20, were all charged in relation to a burglary at the Angola Service Area on I-90.
    The four men allegedly worked together to steal around $5,200 and a safe from the service area.

    YORKSHIRE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Delevan man is accused of leaving the scene of an accident after State Police say he hit a child with his vehicle.
    Around 7 a.m. Monday, New York State Troopers say Delevan resident, John Noto, 41, struck a 15-year-old with his vehicle in the Town of Yorkshire, stopped and proceeded to leave the scene.

    MEDIA GENERAL (WPRI) — Toyota has announced it is recalling at least 6.5 million cars for a power window issue.
    The automakers said the switches for the driver’s side power windows can short circuit and catch fire.
