    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – With the planned implosion of the old Millard Fillmore Hospital tower less than 24 hours away, the big message from city leaders outside city hall Friday morning was that plans were still on track for the implosion to happen as scheduled at 7 a.m. Saturday.

    Police confirm that Keyon Lee and Aaron Hill, both 20-year-old men from Buffalo, were taken into custody Thursday. Neither one is enrolled at Buff State.

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man is caught drinking and driving after crashing into another car in West Seneca.
    State troopers say Michael T. Adamucci was heading westbound on I-90 when he rammed his Lexus into the back of the other vehicle.
    The 42-year-old was taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor DWI, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations.

    LUCERNE VALLEY, Calif. (KLFY) — A mountain lion showed its climbing prowess by scaling a 35-foot utility pole in the California desert.
    The Daily Press of Victorville reported Wednesday that the big cat apparently got spooked by a school bus and ran up the wooden power pole in rural Lucerne Valley.
    The cougar stayed atop the pole all afternoon Tuesday but was gone by Wednesday morning.

    SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WIVB) — A man was rescued Thursday morning after he drove his truck into a hole caused by the road washing away in South Carolina.
    The incident happened at the intersection of Hayne and Ethel Roads in Spartanburg.
    Emergency crews say the man was swept away in his vehicle, but he managed to get out and cling to a tree before he was saved.

    The test Jennifer Arroyo is seeking for her little boy is known as exome sequencing, and, depending on when the results are available, costs between $5,000 and $15,000.
    It’s not covered by insurance, and it would have likely taken years for Jennifer, a single mother who has a full-time job, to afford it.

    Roger Woodward was just 7 years old when he was swept over, wearing only a life jack, back in the summer of 1960.
    Woodward was in an aluminum boat with his sister and a family friend when it hit a rock and capsized. His sister was saved by a tourist, but the family friend was also forced over the falls and did not make it.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- One year ago, 52-year-old Jeraldine Goldsmith, a Buffalo mother of seven, was found murdered at Masten Park.
